For the inaugural edition of RADAR Festival in Bucharest, we were commissioned to transform an early 20th-century industrial warehouse into an immersive new media environment. The objective was to create a centerpiece that would not only bring the historic space to life but also serve as a unifying visual element for the entire exhibition.
Leveraging the industrial architecture’s significant height and open volume, we designed Grid — a large-scale light installation suspended from the ceiling.
The installation consisted of:
Hardware: 240 individual custom lamps.
Resolution: 3,840 individually addressable RGB pixels.
Content: 6-minute mapped light performance designed to interact with the building’s geometry.
