TESS

The source of inspiration for this project was The Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) - a space telescope for NASA's Explorers program, designed to search for exoplanets.
TESS_ installation creates a temporary observatory in the middle of the city. The planet-like pavilion has a textile top cover that is also a canvas for the retro-projection. This becomes the main screen for space generated content.
Inside the dome each tile is doubled by mirrors. This was the image projected on the top is mirrored and multiplied in a way that resembles how light is reflected inside a telescope.
